Ale braised lamb shanks

The perfect Valentine’s dinner, made with love, and it taste FANTASTIC !
Served with garlic bread and a delicious green salad

1) Start finely chop carrots, stalk celery and onions, set aside.

In a large sauce pan melt butter and vegetable oil together, brown the lamb shanks, and set aside.

In the same pan, sauté the finely chopped carrots, stalk celery and onion.

Transfer the lamb shanks back to the sauce pan, and pour over both beers, and lamb stock.

Add bay leaf, cloves and fresh thyme, cover and let it simmer for 2 hours.

After 2 hours turn the lam shanks ant let it simmer for another 2 hours.

Gravy -
Bring the lamb stock to a boil and add gravy granulate - whisk !! Make sure their i no lumps in in the gravy.
Pour into a gravy boat and serve.

Potatoes -
If you do not have left over potatoes, start by cooking the potatoes, depending on the size, but give them 5-10 min more, so they get a bit more mushy but not so they fall apart.
Pre-heat oven 200℃
Pour vegetable oil in a oven prove baking dish. Let the vegetable oil be warm in the oven for 10- 20 min
Turn down the heat to 150, and add the cold potatoes
cook for 1 hour or to the potatoes are golden on all sites, turn it after a ½ hour.

Serve with: Crispy potatoes and homemade gravy, garlic bread and a green salad of your choice
