Bacon barbecue sandwich

Just so political incorrect , but so delicious, and for the real bacon lover.

  • 12 slices of thick cut bacon
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 onion
  • 6 tbsp barbecue sauce
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • lettuce
1) Pre-heat oven on 200℃, finely slice onion , transfere to a sive over the sink , mix in the salt and let it marinate .
Cook bacon over medium to high heat, to crips and golden, drain on kitchen towel ( keep fat from bacon ) , after draining , brush both sides of bacon with barbecue sauce and place in a cooking pan, cook 6-8 minutes turning once midway .
Meanwhile , split rolls and cook / roast in the hot bacon grease 1 minute or till golden , drain on paper towel .
Pour lots cold water over onions and it drain.
On the bottom roll, layer lettuce, 3 pieces of bacon, onion and then top roll
