Wow - a great way to cook your chicken, it just fall apart, and very moist. Put the chicken in your slow cooker / crock pot before leaving for work, and you have a delicious and moist chicken for dinner
6 Servings

  • 1 (2 to 3 pound) whole chicken
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

1) Wad three pieces of aluminium foil into 3 to 4 inch balls, and place them in the bottom of the slow cooker.

Rinse the chicken, inside and out, under cold running water. Pat dry with paper towels. Season the chicken with the salt, pepper and paprika, and place in the slow cooker on top of the crumbled aluminium foil.

Set the slow cooker to High for 1 hour, then turn down to Low for about 8 to 10 hours, or until the chicken is no longer pink and the juices run clear

aHousewife’s notes: For some reason my aluminium foil with time just went out to the side so it did not support the chicken, but it turned out fine anyway, gave it 10 hours, next time I will give it 8, was a bit to the dry side, but the thighs was very moist.
